Brasil again – meeting friends.
This portrait of a girl in Lushoto, Tanzania was exhibited at
PhotoPlace Gallery, Middlebury, Vermont/USA 2011
as part of the exhibition On the Road, Travel Photography
Exhibition dates: Jan 17 – Feb. 11, 2012
“Travel enables us to broaden our horizons, and photographing while on the road
encourages us to look with special attention at the people and places we encounter.
For ON THE ROAD: TRAVEL PHOTOGRAPHY, juror Sandra Chen Weinstein
chose forty photos for exhibition at PhotoPlace Gallery. She also selected
an additional thirty-five photos for the gallery’s “On-Line Annex.”
All selected work will be included in a full-color exhibition catalogue available for purchase. (…)”
“It is an honor to be the juror for this competition and see these amazing images
from the many different photographers sharing their vision of travel and passion for the medium of photography.
With more than 900 hundred images to review, it was a challenging,
even daunting task to select only 75 images for the gallery and online exhibitions.
There were a handful of images that really stood out and yet, choosing the top 40 was not easy.
The selection features so many areas in which contemporary photography is focused:
travel, landscapes, portraits, personal projects, and abstract images. (…)
Even though I could not include all the photographers in the final selection
I want to congratulate those whose works were selected for “On The Road” and all the entrants who submitted work.
I would also like to thank PhotoPlace for inviting me to be the juror for this year exhibition.
I truly enjoyed seeing what people are doing and thank you for the experience. “

In Malaysia I fell in love with Penang – especially with the Kek Lok Si temple – one of the finest Buddhist temples in South-east Asia.

Thanks to LePont Gallery Aleppo,
who invited us to exhibit our work UNITY as part of the Women´s Art Festival 2007,
I had the chance to see the city and country of my ancestors.

WELCOME TO MISSION HILLS GOLF RESORT – “180 HOLES WORLD`S NO. 1”!
Commission for GolfPunk magazine
For GolfPunk magazine I photographically followed the two golf maniacs Goetz and Eric
on their 5 day golfathon at Mission Hills in China, 2hrs away from Hongkong.
The so called golfathon means playing two golf courses a day starting at 6:53 in the morning,
five days in a row. Check out the other sights I found on this hardcore golf trip and get a glimpse of Hongkong.
This portrait of a sadhu priest was part of our solo exhibition Tales from India
at the Nehru Centre, Cultural Wing of the High Commission of India, London 2007
